Foster Inductions induction melting furnaces leverage IGBT-based mediumfrequency induction heating to melt a wide range of metalsfrom precious metals like gold, platinum, and palladium to ferrous and non-ferrous alloys including steel, copper, iron, and aluminum.

Key Specifications & Features

Power Range: Typically from 10kW up to 750kW, customizable according to material and capacity needs  .

Melting Capacity:

Small lab to precious metal models: 1kg up to 50kg

Industrial models: from 10kg to multiple tons (up to 10tons)  .

Temperature Range:

Up to around 1650C for steel, iron, and castiron

Specialized models up to 2000C2350C for rhodium, platinum, iridium  .

Melting Time:

Precious metal furnaces: 36 minutes

Cast iron / steel units: ranges from 2 up to 65 minutes depending on batch size and power level  .

Crucible & Stirring:

Builtin electromagnetic stirring ensures uniform alloy mixing and material homogeneity  .

Controls & Design:

Microcontroller/PLC-controlled digital interface with temperature monitoring, ramp/soak profiles, and safety interlocks

Hydraulic or manual tilting mechanisms facilitate clean pouring  .

Efficiency & Safety:

Energy-efficient, contactless heating with minimal heat loss and no open flame

Watercooled coils, magnetic shunts, and coil winding optimized to avoid overheating and maximize power transfer efficiency  .
